III. Balkan Cup in Sofia
Between November 15 – 17, 2024, the Taekwon-do klub Radovljica club with 8 competitors took part in match III. Balkan Cup 2024, in Sofia, Bulgaria. Among the 772 competitors from 15 countries, we represented the united team of Slovenia, together with TKD AHAC. A total of 44 competitors from Slovenia took part in the competition. The competition was held in several disciplines: forms, fights, group fights, special techniques, test of strength and speed of blows. Our head coach Barbara Meglič took part in the match as a judge, leading, driving, encouraging and taking care of the entire expedition of our competitors.
Our competitors achieved the following top places:
- Anđela Bogdanović, 2. place, tulls, 8. kup
- Teja Staroverski, 2. place, tulls 4. kup, 2. place, team sparring, juniors
- Anastasia Simić, 3. place, tulls 4. kup, 2. place, team sparring, juniors
- Ela Košir, 2. place, team sparring, juniors
- Ivana Sitar, 2. place, tulls I. DAN, 3. place, sparring -60kg, 1. place, team sparring, adults
Barbara Marolt Knežević, Katrina Rajhard Novak and Svit Novak also took part, but despite several victories, they remained just short of the medals.
